How to use DexScreener for Solana
Open dexscreener.com/solana. The default view is Trending for the chain; the tabs next to it give you New pairs, Gainers/Losers and Top traders. On Solana, Trending is the tab most shaped by money — a row of lightning badges at the top is normal — so treat it as a list of who is marketing, not who is winning. New pairs is the raw feed of fresh liquidity and is where pump.fun and Bonk.fun graduations appear first.
Always search by contract address (the mint), never by name. Solana names and tickers are copied within minutes of anything trending; the mint is the only thing that cannot be faked. Paste it into the DexScreener search bar, or into the DXT token check to see whether that exact token has ever paid DexScreener.
The pairs you will see are mostly on PumpSwap (pump.fun's own AMM, where pump.fun tokens graduate), Raydium (including Bonk.fun launches via Raydium LaunchLab), Meteora and Orca. Jupiter is the router most wallets use rather than a pool you trade on, so a token can show a Raydium or PumpSwap pair on DexScreener while you bought it "through Jupiter". Tokens still on a bonding curve show with the launchpad's icon and no regular DEX pair yet.

pump.fun, Bonk.fun and how paid activity shows up
Most Solana tokens on DexScreener were born on a launchpad. pump.fun sells a token along a bonding curve and "graduates" it to PumpSwap once the curve fills; Bonk.fun (letsbonk.fun) does the same on Raydium's LaunchLab; Moonshot is DexScreener's own launch app. DexScreener tags each with a small launchpad icon, and the "graduated" moment is usually the first time a token gets a proper pair, a chart and a market cap that the wider site ranks.
Paid activity follows that lifecycle closely. The typical pattern we record on Solana looks like this:
- Dex Paid first. A team that intends to market a launch buys Enhanced Token Info early — sometimes while the token is still on the curve, often in the first minutes after graduation. On Solana the "dex paid?" question became a meme precisely because it is the earliest public sign of a budget.
- Boosts at the push. Boost packs land when the team wants the Trending slot — usually right after graduation or at the first sign of a chart that will hold. Several small packs stacked over an hour read differently from one large pack at launch.

What a Solana budget looks like, and how to read it
Prices are set by DexScreener and change; the paid services guide keeps the current list. The useful reading is relative: a Dex Paid profile is a few hundred dollars and is the entry ticket; boost packs scale from roughly a hundred dollars to thousands for the largest pack; tokens with 500 or more active boosts earn the Golden Ticker (the name renders in gold), which on Solana is the clearest "someone spent real money here" flag. An ad campaign costs more again.
Read those amounts against the market cap at the time of payment, not in isolation. A large pack bought on a token capped at a few thousand dollars means the marketing budget is bigger than the token — that is either a well-funded launch or the wallet recycling the same playbook. The "seen before" warning on our feed exists for exactly the second case: the same Solana deployer or payer showing up across many tokens.
What the Solana data consistently shows, across the hours, is that paying is a budget signal, not a performance signal. Some paid tokens run, many flop within the hour.
