DexScreener Base lists every Base pair the moment it gets liquidity on Uniswap, Aerodrome or one of the smaller Base DEXes. Base is the Ethereum layer-2 incubated by Coinbase and built on the OP Stack; gas is paid in ETH and the chain has no token of its own at the time of writing. What sets Base apart from Solana or BNB Chain is where its tokens come from: a large share are minted by automated launch flows such as Clanker and Zora rather than deployed by a team by hand.

Search by contract address, not by name. Base names are copied within minutes — a Clanker or Zora launch that catches on has several look-alikes before the hour is over. Paste the 0x… address from the Farcaster cast or the Zora post and check the pair sits on the DEX you expect: most Base launches trade in a Uniswap v3 or v4 pool, while Aerodrome is the main venue for established Base tokens.
Read the paid badges as budget signals. The check-mark means someone bought Enhanced Token Info (a Base Dex Paid profile with logo, banner and socials); the lightning bolt with a number means an active boost pack; a banner means an ad campaign. They say money was spent on visibility — nothing about quality or liquidity. To see which Base tokens paid in the last minutes instead of hunting for badges, use the table above or the live feed.
Clanker, Zora and the other Base launch flows
Most Base memecoins are not deployed by hand. Clanker deploys a token on request — originally by mentioning it in a Farcaster cast, later also through its own site and Bankr — and seeds a Uniswap pool, with trading fees flowing back to the creator. Zora turns posts and creator profiles into coins that trade in Uniswap pools on Base; agent-token launchpads such as Virtuals also run here. Paid activity on these tokens looks the same on DexScreener as on any other: a check-mark once someone buys the profile, a lightning badge once a boost pack is bought. The difference is who pays: a Clanker or Zora coin often has no "team", so the buyer may be the creator, a community member or a trader trying to trigger Trending. Our seen-before warning matters here — a deployer that has paid for several Base launches in a row is a pattern worth knowing.
What Base teams typically spend
The usual ladder on Base is a Dex Paid profile first (the cheapest visible signal), a small boost pack in the first hours, and only rarely an ad. Large boost packs are far less common than on Solana; when one appears it usually belongs to a token that already has real volume and wants to hold the top of Base Trending. Because launches are automated, the gap between "token exists" and "token has a Dex Paid profile" can be minutes. A profile bought right after a Clanker launch usually means the creator planned a push; one bought days later, after volume faded, more often precedes a last grab for attention.
Wallet and DEX notes for Base
- Any EVM wallet works — Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, Rabby. Add the Base network and fund it with ETH (Coinbase can withdraw straight to Base; otherwise use the official bridge).

- Slippage is usually low on Base, so a swap that only goes through with very high slippage is a warning sign (tax token, thin liquidity, honeypot), not a Base quirk.
